3/11/2023 0 Comments Best days of my life skillet![]() ![]() Jeff: So what role does the Bible play in your songwriting? How do you get from Bible to music? And these days, people always want to know more, so they go online. Even if I talk about God, these days everybody talks about God, so I’ve always found music is a great diving board for people to get into Skillet. So we sound spiritual to people, but they don’t always know what that means unless they come to a concert, unless they hear me speak. Now people may recognize them as spiritual sounding. Certainly, the songs aren’t overtly preachy. There are definitely still people who listen to Skillet that don’t know we’re a Christian band. Jeff: So what response do you get? Do people sort of find you through the music and then come to learn you’re Christian? And not new age, I like to make it clear. We were positive, but we were Jesus fanatics. So Skillet began to be known as the positive rock band. And around 2005 and 6 and 7, positive music began to become popular in the mainstream world. And we were a band that was singing what they would call positive music. I would even say nihilistic, like nothing really matters, you know, suicidal. In 1996, when we started, rock music was very dark. But for rock music, we were too Christian. Took us about 10 years, 11 years maybe, before people really started knowing who we were. But really took off in the early 2000s, and … Jeff: And you’ve been around for a while. I got into rock music because the music is fuel. So everything I write, I try to write from that Christian worldview. I had a good day, this is what I’m going to write about. You know, I had a bad day and this is what I’m going to write about it. That’s your three-minutes, your three-minute sermon. Because when you write songs - and I know for some people that’s interesting, and they don’t think of rock music as being Christian - but when you’re writing you have a chance to say what you believe. And so for me, I think playing rock music was just a great way to express my faith. We play with Metallica and Aerosmith and Ozzy Osborne, any metal band. But we play most of our shows in the secular rock world. Even for the Christian market, I’m very outspoken. When I was introducing myself, I forgot to say the other unique thing about Skillet is that I’m very, very outspoken about my faith. Their song “Monster” - big, big hit - 412 million streams on Spotify. If you look them up on Spotify, they have 6.4 million monthly listeners. Consider that the farther away you are, or the more obstructions between your Wi-Fi client device and the Wi-Fi base station (such as bathroom tile which the signal must attempt to pass through), the weaker the radio signal strength and the lower the throughput.Īssuming that a single base station doesn't fulfill your requirements, you should understand the different methods you can employ to extend your Wi-Fi network range, and choose which of those methods is best for you.Ī Wireless Distribution System (WDS) is the method used to extend the range of AirPort Extreme 802.11a/b/g and AirPort Express 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi base stations. Given that, in some environments, a single Wi-Fi base station doesn’t fulfill your requirements, using multiple Wi-Fi base stations can improve your network range and throughput in areas farther away from the primary Wi-Fi base station. Additionally, as there is virtually no management overhead over Ethernet, more data will move from one point to another in the same space of time. ![]() ![]() Ethernet is also resistant to radio frequency interference and is easier to troubleshoot. Ethernet offers up to one gigabit rate, which is much faster than wireless (for wireless, the maximum rate is 450 Mbps on 802.11n 5 GHz). You can accomplish this by using the minimum number of Wi-Fi base stations required to service the physical network area and by using Ethernet wherever possible.Įxtending the range of your Wi-Fi network by connecting Wi-Fi base stations together using Ethernet is always the best option, and will provide the best throughput. The general rule is to keep the Wi-Fi network as simple as possible. In the case of a wirelessly extended network, throughput may be reduced to less than 60 percent of that of a single device. The network configuration also becomes more complex. Throughput - The amount of data that is transmitted or received each second, measured in megabits per second (Mbps).īefore you add additional Wi-fi base stations to your network, you should consider whether or not you really need to.Īdding Wi-Fi base stations when it is unnecessary can reduce Wi-Fi throughput because the Wi-Fi network will require more data management overhead. Unless otherwise indicated, extended Wi-Fi base stations should be set to use bridge mode. It is common for the primary Wi-Fi base station to provide the DHCP service for the Wi-Fi network.Įxtended Wi-Fi base station - Any Wi-Fi base station that connects to a primary Wi-Fi base station to extend the range of the network. Primary base station - This is typically the base station that connects to the modem and has the gateway address to the Internet. Client examples include computers, iPad, iPhone, game console, digital video recorder, and/or other Wi-Fi devices. Wi-Fi Client - A Wi-Fi client is any device that uses Wi-Fi (access to the Internet, printing, storage, or music streaming). The Wi-Fi base stations may be connected together via Ethernet or wirelessly. Multi Wi-Fi base station network - A network that utilizes more than one Wi-Fi base station to extend the range of a network, or to extend features such as Internet access, music streaming, printing, storage, etc. Wi–Fi base station - Any variety of AirPort Extreme Base Station, AirPort Express, or Time Capsule.Įxtending a wireless network - Using multiple Wi-Fi base stations wirelessly to extend the range of an AirPort network over a wider physical area, when the range of a single base station is insufficient. ![]() ![]() So where do I go from here? 3/10/2023 0 Comments Kite tenjo yugioh arc v![]() ![]() I have always loved his sarcasm and quick wit. With being the one who started it all, Kaiba had to be near the top. Also, his dub voice actor played another favorite rival of mine in another franchise. I think it’s cool how he’s the only rival to use a “boku” pronoun in the original. His anti-hero role gave GX a cool twist to the story, especially his deck being a dark counterpart to Jaden’s. I love his development from antagonistic rival to a strong ally. Edo PhoenixĪt Number 3 is our destiny boy, Edo Phoenix (also Aster in the dub, which I think is a cooler name). Some of my favorite Duels in Zexal were ones when Shark got some action. And I love his emo but also caring personality. I feel bad for some of the things he has to go through, but even when he tries to pull away, he can’t really do that. One day he’s a friend, the next he’s your enemy. His role is like a seesaw, back and forth he goes. His life is a mess, but he’s a true friend. Good old Shark (also known as Reginald Kastle). And you got to love a Duelist who has such a strong connection to his ace monster. He’s not entirely open to how he feels about his friends, but he truly cares for them. For one, while he’s always serious, it’s easy to laugh at things he does, but in a good way. I think I have Jack here in my rankings because of what I’ve seen in his character. Once again, a lower ranking because I’ve never watched ARC-V or 5Ds. I think the GX anime would have been more interesting if they had Manjoume more like that. His manga counterpart was much more serious and less spoiled. Still, an occasionally comedic rival can take some edge off at times. He did have a lot of pressure put on him by his brothers in the first seasons, and starts to fight with how he wants to do things his way. I really like how he learns to value hard work over the course of the series, and the significance to use lower level monsters. While Manjoume (Chazz Princeton in the dub) has some great humor moments, he feels underwhelming at times. Reiji may come off as harsh or distant, but he does have a kind heart, and I respect that. And I love how much trust he has in Yuya over the course of their adventure. The opposite of Ryoken, Reiji knows what his father is doing is wrong and is determined to stop him. I did get to know him more through liveblogs, and I enjoy his character. The main reason Reiji (Declan in the dub) is so low on the list is because I didn’t watch ARC-V. I have grown to like him more than when he was first introduced, but this is where Ryoken is at on my list. And his Dueling style always confuses me. I understand why, but his father was not a good person. And another reason is he’s so devoted to following his father’s wishes. To me, it didn’t really feel like he had that much character development until the second half of S2. While Ryoken/Revolver/Varis is a huge favorite among VRAINS fans, I was in the minority that couldn’t quite get fully behind his character. Please do not leave mean comments of yours are different. ![]() Since a couple series feel like it has more than one rival, I’ll include them in the list. I had been wanting to do this for awhile now, so I thought I would finally get on it. We just started Sevens, and it’s still unclear who the main rival is at this point, so I thought I’d do a list of my favorite rivals in order. ![]() |
